and not being harmed

i remember it empty    no one
          but me and my brother
  cousin                   , "this is where
      ma works!"

              how there is no kinship here
   how the boots fall over in a locker
how her livelihood is on display


      how the very process you mimic
    how machines work as you watch
            how children cannot see,
                                      cannot play with
  how you cannot fathom. dream.
